On April 24, 2026, the China-US Youth Health Dialogue was successfully held in Shanghai. Young medical experts, researchers, and medical students from both countries gathered to discuss the application prospects of artificial intelligence in healthcare.
During the dialogue, the American delegation visited Shanghai Zhangjiang Pharma Valley and Ruijin Hospital. At Zhangjiang Pharma Valley, the delegation learned about China's latest progress in innovative drug R&D and medical device localization. At Ruijin Hospital, the two sides held seminars on machine learning-assisted imaging diagnosis, AI-driven precision treatment, and smart hospital development.
Participating experts agreed that AI is profoundly transforming the healthcare industry, and that China and the US each have strengths in this field, making strengthened cooperation highly significant. Young scholars from both sides also reached multiple cooperation intentions on joint research, talent development, and academic exchanges.
UCAHP representatives stated at the event that the association will continue to promote youth talent exchange in healthcare between China and the US, building a long-term cooperation platform to jointly address global health challenges.
