On July 16, 2026, commissioned by the China Education Association for International Exchange, 30 students and faculty from 13 leading U.S. universities—including Columbia University, Brown University, and Cornell University—visited Xiaomi Group's Beijing headquarters for an immersive experience of Chinese tech companies' innovation practices and achievements.

At Xiaomi's Smart Factory, the American students observed the fully automated smartphone production line and learned about Xiaomi's latest technology布局 in AI, IoT, and smart vehicles. At the Xiaomi Home experience zone, students tried the latest consumer electronics and smart home ecosystem, praising the innovation capability and product quality of Chinese tech companies.

This event is part of the initiative to invite 50,000 American young people to China for exchange over five years. Delegation members said the visit changed their perception of China's technology development and expressed hope for more opportunities to study and exchange in China to understand a real, multi-dimensional China.

UCAHP has long been committed to promoting China-US youth exchange. At a roundtable with the delegation, UCAHP representatives introduced the association's work in talent exchange and startup incubation, and welcomed American students to participate in more exchange programs through the UCAHP platform.
