On July 29, 2026, the China-Utah Economic and Trade Exchange, co-hosted by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and World Trade Center Utah, was successfully held in Salt Lake City. Over 200 government representatives, entrepreneurs, and industry experts from both countries gathered to explore new opportunities for economic and trade cooperation.
During the exchange, Chinese and American business representatives held in-depth meetings across six sectors: transportation logistics, brain-computer interfaces, smart equipment, healthcare, technology education, and cross-border trade. Multiple companies signed letters of intent on-site, covering NEV parts exports, smart medical technology introduction, cross-border e-commerce platform development, and more.
The Governor of Utah noted in his remarks that economic and trade ties between Utah and China have grown increasingly close, with China becoming one of Utah's most important trading partners. The state will continue to improve its business environment and welcome more Chinese companies to invest. A representative from the Chinese Embassy's Economic and Commercial Office emphasized that China-US economic cooperation is fundamentally mutually beneficial.
UCAHP representatives attended the exchange and engaged with participating companies on talent recruitment and technology matchmaking. The association will continue to serve as a bridge for China-US economic cooperation and talent exchange across more sectors.
