On August 3, 2026, the 13th China-US Young Maker Competition Finals and Awards Ceremony concluded successfully in Beijing. Themed 'Co-create the Future,' the competition brought together over 500 young innovators from 120 finalist teams from both countries to compete and explore innovative solutions in AI, sustainability, smart healthcare, and other frontier fields.
Since its inception in 2014, the China-US Young Maker Competition has been held for 13 consecutive editions and has become a flagship event in China-US people-to-people exchange. This year's edition attracted over 14,000 students from more than 400 universities, who submitted over 3,200 innovation projects—setting new records in both scale and quality.
After intense competition, teams from Tsinghua University, MIT, Stanford University, and other institutions won first prizes in their respective tracks. Winning projects spanned AI-assisted education, green energy, smart agriculture, wearable medical devices, and more, demonstrating the innovative vitality and collaborative spirit of young makers from both countries.
The organizing committee stated that it will continue to build platforms for China-US youth exchange and promote deeper cooperation in science and technology innovation.
